EAT AND PRAY DROP-IN SUPPORT GROUP
Thursdays, beginning July 29, 2010, from 6:30-7:30pm at Peace in the ramped modular, Fee: $5 per session
This is a place to come for emotional and spiritual support if you have weight issues that affect your health, and you can’t seem to make yourself lose weight. There is another way. We focus on relying on God and we ask His direction so we might eat in a healthy way. The support group is based on the ideas presented in the Eat and Pray Workshop (see www.eatandpray.com for schedule), but anyone with weight issues is welcome to drop in at any time. There are no weigh-ins or diets. There are no requirements for weekly attendance; drop in as you wish. The support group leader is Mimi Dixon, M.A., who has lost over 100 pounds by trusting God. Mimi is a veteran of many prior years of unsuccessful dieting and pay-to-lose weight programs. She has a master’s degree in counseling and has mentored many to work by faith in order to eat healthfully and lose weight.

ALSO OF NOTE

THE SANCTUARY CHANGES
As many of you know, we are grateful for the beautiful, new, solid-blue chairs donated anonymously for our sanctuary. There is also new carpet, new decorations, and new window treatments. Many plants have been planted outside the buildings and new drapes are in the ramped modular. We have also had many improvements made: the outdoor lights have been repaird, trees and bushes have been pruned, and the Main Street lit-sign has been worked on recently. Thank you, to everyone for the hard work.
more info.

CHURCH T-SHIRTS & MUGS
Have you purchased a church t-shirt, pen, or stainless steel travel mug yet? The Deacons are taking orders as a Deacon’s fundraiser. Each is a perfect gift. Sign-up sheet soon and more information on cost in the Fellowship Hall. The shirts come in a variety of sizes and all have our church name and logo on them. Portions of the cost will go to the Deacons to use in projects and in caring for those in need.

VACUUM AND FREEZER OR FRIDGE NEEDED
Do you have an old vacuum cleaner or freezer that you would be able to donate to the church? Now that the modulars are done and clean, we would like to have a vacuum cleaner to store there in order to clean them regularly. Also, we would like to have a freezer or fridge to store food for Logos or other church events in. Elder Liz I. will provide the space if you can provide the freezer or fridge. Please contact any of the Elders if you can help in these ways.

PRAYER TEAM
Do you desire to learn how to pray for others? If so, please talk to Pastor Brian about being a part of a prayer team that is available to pray for others after our Sunday services.
