SATURDAY
UPCOMING MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT
On Saturdays May 31 and June 14 from 8:30 am-5:30 pm, Peace will host a seminar provided by the Sacramento Healthy Marriage Project, called Master the Mystery of Love. Learn how to speak so your partner listens, and learn to listen as your partner speaks. These are the skills your relationship needs. Every love relationship must grow in health and happiness. Neglect your relationship, things just dont run right. This is a skill-based workshop. First, a couple listens while a relationship skill is talked about by the instructor. Then they watch a video of a couple showing how to do it. Next, each couple goes to a quiet area where the couple practices this skill. Partners discover they can express what each partner thinks, feels, or wants in a way that is understandable and real. Once a couple feels confident in the skill, they are ready to learn the next skill. Its like magic how easy talking to one another becomes when you have these skills. Come and learn what its like to Master the Mystery of Love. Look for more information in the upcoming weeks.

SPECIAL OFFERING AND FUNDRAISING FOR MODULAR REPAIRS
The Session is working hard at implementing a plan to finish repairs to our modular as soon as possible. The expenses for the repairs thus far have been in addition to our normal budget and have totalled $10,000.00 so far this year. A member of our church family has volunteered to pay for the cost of new carpet. We may need to spend another $1,500.00 for further repairs. Because these rooms are used by the entire church, the Session invites each family of our church to contribute to the costs of the repairs in order to offset the expenses and rebuild our church reserves. Please pray about giving in this special way. Checks can be made to the church earmarked for modular repairs.
DINNER & BLANKETS
Several hand-crocheted or hand-knitted blankets have been donated for a raffle to raise funds for the repairs. See them now. They will be raffled-off at the Deacon Dinner April 12th (no need to be present to win one.) Also to raffle: homemade candy, and gift baskets. To purchase a raffle ticket, see a Deacon; a table is set up in the Fellowship hall.
STEWARDSHIP SUNDAY
We celebrated Stewardship Sunday during our worship service on Sun., Nov. 11. During the service we dedicated our pledges of time, money, and talent for 2008 to our God. Stewardship letters and Commitment Sheets were mailed out and are available on the table in the Social Hall. Please pray about how you can give back to God in faithfulness and in thankfulness for what He has done and is doing for you and your family. You may still turn in your Commitment Sheet in the offering plate or to the church office. Even if you have submitted one in the past, please fill out your 2008 Commitment Sheet for time and talents so we may have an updated awareness of how God is calling you to serve. Thank you for your faithfulness in giving to our church of your money, time, talents and hearts!
DISCOVER PEACE
Please contact Pastor Brian if you are interested in being a part of this membership class and would like to consider joining our church family. It meets on Sundays (dates to be determined) at 12:45pm @ the home of Pastor Brian. Come for a potluck lunch, time of fellowship and discussion and get to know other people from the church. Topics include: what it means to be a Christian; what it means to be a member of a church; and how you can be more involved in the life of our church. Come and discover Peace and how God wants to bless you in and through the members of Peace.
