SUNDAY SCHOOL NEEDS YOU!
Come one, come all! It is time to sign-up to be a Sunday School teacher. Even if you have never taught Sunday School, now is the time to try it. It is a great way to get to know the children of our church and share your love of Christ with them. We have easy to follow curriculum and I [Tracy F.] am always available to help and answer questions. CHILDREN’S CHURCH

Kindergarten - 6th grades start in Congregational Corporate Worship then, after the Children’s Message the Children are escorted to Children’s Church in Preschool Room A by the Children’s Church Worship leader.
Worship Leader(s) help the children to express the elements of worship at their own age-appropriate level.
If you would like to be a Worship Leader for any particular element (Bible Story, Music, Prayer) please contact the Worship Directors for Children’s Church by phone, email or in person: Elders, Keith F. and Derek M., and Pastor Jerry B.

EXPANDED TODDLER ACTIVITIES DURING WORSHIP

Parents, as you and your youth attend The Study Hour; your kids - toddlers through elementary school - have age-appropriate Sunday school classes. The new class for 2-4 year olds has been a wonderful addition to our Sunday mornings. We now offer the class during the 10:15 worship hour. For the 9am growth hour children from ages 0-4 will participate in developmentally appropriate, creative play with our loving nursery attendants.
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6.

SUNDAY SCHOOL - GROWTH HOUR FOR CHILDREN

Classes offered for Pre-school (3-5 years) - 6th grades during the Education Hour @9am with Nursery care provided. A healthy snack is offered immediately afterward in preparation for Corporate Worship which will begin at 10:15 am.
Teachers help the children to learn about the Love of God and the Bible He gave us at their own age-appropriate level using curriculum and support from the Christian Education Committee.
If you would like to teach Sunday School for any class please contact Elder, Tracy F. by phone, email or in person. A short instructional meeting was held after church, and the information packet is available by request.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS
Each person or team commits to a one month a quarter schedule. There are three classes (Toddlers, K-3rd, and 4th-6th) with easy curriculum and support provided. All members and friends are invited to participate: great for High School and College students. If you are interested in becoming involved in our Christian Education program please sign-up in the Social Hall, or talk with Elder Tracy F.

SUNDAY SCHOOL REGISTRATION
Please fill-out a registration form for each of your Sunday School Aged children (Preschool through 6th grade as of 2009). Return forms to the welcome table in the Social Hall or the church office. Contact Tracy F. with any questions.

CHILDREN’S MESSAGE
During Sunday Worship Pastor Brian leads a short message each week for our Young Disciples (children up to 6th grade) who are invited to come to the front of the Sanctuary and sit at the base of the platform together with him. The object lesson is easy and fun for all. If you would like to help lead a message, please contact Pastor Brian or the Office Manager. After the message the children are led to Children’s Church for an age-appropriate worship time.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER TRAINING
After church on Sunday November 5th there was a brief teacher training at 11 am in the modulars to review upcoming changes in the new year, share some teaching tips and discuss curriculum. If you are currently a teacher or interested in teaching in the future and missed the meeting, please contact Tracy F. for a packet of information and with any questions.

THANK YOU TO OUR SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS! We thanked all our Sunday School teachers on November 5, 2006 with Teacher Appreciation Sunday with a framed piece of art handed out by all of the children of Peace Presbyterian. If you were unavailable that Sunday, please let Pastor Brian know.

CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PAGEANT
all children preschool to 6th grade. This year it is during our Sunday morning service on December 21st. A final practice Saturday December 20th @ 3pm. Contact Elder, Tracy F. if you can help or if you have any questions.

HARVEST FOR PEACE - Silent Auction Thankyou for donating so many wonderful hand-crafted projects for the Silent Auction held October 11th to support Youth and Children’s ministries. The Silent Auction and the used/unused items sale helped raise over $600.00 for free dinners for families at LOGOS, camperships and resource materials for teaching. A big, “Thankyou” goes out to those who also volunteered for setup/take down and disposal.
