This page is designed to remind our members what we as a small church have accomplished in a year. Often we rejoice as the event occured, but quickly we forget the work done through the Grace of God. This page should help us to celebrate the years events and cause us to refelct on the Love of God in our lives, especially as we head toward Stewardship Sunday.

Mothers Day BBQ
IronMen of Peace hosted this event to celebrate the women in our community with lunch. Contact Elder Fred M. for more info, or the Church office.
Valentines Day Dinner and Fundraiser
Peace hosted this event to celebrate the love of the Creator. We shared an Italian dinner, bid on many hand made and purchased items for auction, and played the Newlywed Game with four couples.
We have hired a professional cleaning company to clean the main building each week.
Session worked hard to get the Modulars roof repaired.
Sharing our resources
We were excited to welcome Bread of Life Church. We look forward to furthering the Kingdom together. A catholic Indian congregation also uses the campus for their services. None of these congregations is presbyterian: we are simply the body of Christ Jesus.
Fireworks Booth and Rummage Sale
The volunteers for our Fireworks booth and our Rummage Sale raised the money to make the repairs listed above, and to donate to the Elk Grove Food Bank Services. The Rummage Sale raised $1,000 which was donated to charity: a foster kids organization and the EGFBS. Contact Allen G. or Cindy M-G. with Fireworks Booth questions and Mirna B. or Phyllis M. with any Rummage Sales questions.
Turkeys and Hams
Our members raised funds to donate frozen turkeys and hams to the Elk Grove Food Bank Services for holiday meals. Thank you, members, for showing your love in this way. Contact our office with any questions.
Boy Scouts and other groups/congregations
A Boy Scout troupe, an AWE-MOMs (moms of multiples), three different A.A. meetings, and several other congregations of various denominations use our campus. The Boy Scouts place their annual Christmas Tree Lot on the north end of our campus. This is another way we support the larger community of Elk Grove. Contact the office with any questions.
Relay for Life
Our congregation joined the team Sanctified Soles and raised money for the American Cancer Society as well as worked to educate the community about types of cancer, treatment, prevention, and services offered by ACS for cancer patients and caregivers. We welcome any who would like to participate with our team. See Allen G. or Sherry K. for more info.
We formed a team, The Church At Elk Grove, to enter the Courage Run Turkey Trot in Elk Grove for Courage Worldwide inviting the other Elk Grove Christian Churches. Youth and Children participated with the Adults.
And as individuals we joined the Run4Hunger benefitting the Elk Grove Food Bank Services raising money, awareness, and having fun supporting these worthy causes. Money was raised through registration fees and collected as donations. Youth and Children participated with the Adults.
-Women of Peace attended a retreat to Pismo Beach in September.
-We participated in the Angel Tree project, purchasing Christmas presents requested from incarcerated parents and delivered them to their children.
-We added on gifts for many kids in the foster care system this Christmas as we were invited at the last week.
-We heard from Gideons International speakers, and
Love, I.N.C. each during a Sunday service.
-Member Raquel L. shared with us about sponsoring children through World Vision. Our children in the Childrens Church decided to sponsor a child. They take a collection every week of their own money and our Session provided a six month cushion, but they have not needed it at all. The child they sponsor will be posted.
-We participate in the One Great Hour of Sharing, the Pentecost Offering, and the Christmas Joy offerings. Youth and Children participated with the Adults.
-The 4 Fs participate in serving the St. Johns Shelters Program for Women and Children, and
-our adults served in the EG-WINs program which shelters, feeds, clothes, and provides fellowship with Christians during the harsh winter months.
-for years our adults and children have provided chapel services for Brookdale Assisted Living for Seniors. We often add on special holiday services, too. See Pastor Jerry for more details.
-Lastly, we work with The Church At Elk Grove to care for our schools with The Weekend of Service. Youth and Children participated with the Adults. See Pastor Brian for more info.
