Special Congregational Meeting
The Session has called for a Special Congregational Meeting immediately after our worship service on Sunday May 4 to receive a report from the Nominating Committee and then to elect one new Elder to fill unexpired term for the class of 2009. All active members are encouraged to attend. Please contact any of the Elders if you have any questions about this special meeting.

SPECIAL OFFERING AND FUNDRAISING FOR MODULAR REPAIRS
The Session is working hard at implementing a plan to finish repairs to our modular as soon as possible. The expenses for the repairs thus far have been in addition to our normal budget and have totalled $10,000.00 so far this year. A member of our church family has volunteered to pay for the cost of new carpet. We may need to spend another $1,500.00 for further repairs. Because these rooms are used by the entire church, the Session invites each family of our church to contribute to the costs of the repairs in order to offset the expenses and rebuild our church reserves. Please pray about giving in this special way. Checks can be made to the church earmarked for modular repairs.
DINNER & BLANKETS
Several hand-crocheted or hand-knitted blankets have been donated for a raffle to raise funds for the repairs. See them now. They will be raffled-off at the Deacon Dinner April 12th (no need to be present to win one.) To purchase a raffle ticket, see a Deacon; a table is set up in the Fellowship hall.
NEW NURSERY ATTENDANTS Liz M. is staffing the nursery on Sunday mornings during our Study Hour and during our worship service along with Megan E. Megan is also providing nursery and child care at LOGOS and at special church events as needed.

The Mission of Peace Presbyterian Church:
To reach out into our community to share the message of Gods love and grace, inviting those with whom we come into contact to join the family of God. We will build relationships, enlarging and strengthening the bonds of our Christian family through prayer and fellowship, serving the needs of our church family creatively and compassionately. We will create an environment that allows Gods children to actively encounter His presence through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. We will encourage all who come through our doors to worship and learn about the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, through biblically-based study and education opportunities that teach what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ in an encouraging and challenging environment, empowering believers to go out into the world rejoicing and serving Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.
